Socialize/We Are Social Art Direction: James Young Copywriter: Jack Rogers Sony MEA asked us to give their social content an uplift. With such sterile naming across their entire product range–ZVE1 (camera), WF-C700N (headphones) and the A80L (TV), there was an opportunity to create a design language that Sony once used back in their earlier years. Large, bold product codes were complemented by block colours and shapes which were printed onto cassette cases and VCR sleeves, signifying a retro era that we looked to resurrect. With global superstars like Christiano Ronaldo and N'Golo Kante making big-money transfers over to clubs in Saudi, we created a series of teasers that show our footballing ace, David Villa, being ‘spotted’ in various locations in the region, causing a bit of a stir with footy fans. Why’s he here? Who is he signing for?
